This Privacy Policy describes how the JustBB iOS application (“JustBB”, “the app”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you use it. JustBB is developed and operated by Andrew Olefira (“the developer”).
JustBB is a personal strength-training log. All your workout data — exercises, workouts, sessions, sets, weights, reps, ratings, folders — is stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to us, to any server, or to any third party. We do not operate a backend, we do not have user accounts, and we do not sync your data to any cloud service we control.
If you have iCloud Drive enabled on your iPhone, the app optionally saves backup copies of your data to your own personal iCloud Drive container (see section 4). These backups remain inside your Apple iCloud account and are not accessible to the developer.
The only information the app sends off-device to a service the developer operates is anonymous crash diagnostics through Firebase Crashlytics, used solely to detect and fix bugs.
JustBB is a personal training log, not medical advice. Consult a physician before starting any exercise program.
JustBB does not collect, request, or transmit any of the following:
JustBB does not have user accounts, registration, sign-in, or any cloud profile.
JustBB uses Firebase Crashlytics (a service provided by Google) to receive automatic reports when the app crashes or encounters a critical error. These reports help the developer identify and fix bugs.

Crash reports do not contain your workout data, your name, your email, your IP address, or any other content you create in the app.
Firebase Crashlytics’ handling of this data is governed by Google’s privacy practices: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
In Apple’s App Privacy framework, this data is categorized as “Diagnostics” → “Crash Data”, not linked to user identity.
All content you create in JustBB — workouts, exercises, sessions, folders, settings — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data:
If you have iCloud Drive enabled on your iPhone and have not disabled iCloud Drive access for JustBB, the app automatically saves rotating backup copies of your local workout database to your personal iCloud Drive container after each completed session. Up to 10 most recent backups are retained; older ones are deleted automatically.
These backup files remain entirely within your own Apple iCloud account. The developer has no access to them and cannot view, modify, or recover them. They are stored and protected under Apple’s iCloud privacy terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
You can disable iCloud Drive backups for JustBB at any time in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → JustBB. You can also delete individual backups from within the app (Settings → Backups → iCloud backups) or from the Files app on your iPhone.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share any data with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other commercial purpose. The only data leaving your device to a service the developer operates is the anonymous crash diagnostics described in section 2, sent only to Firebase Crashlytics for the purpose of diagnosing app failures.
JustBB is rated 4+ in the App Store and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from any user, including children under 13. Since the app does not request or collect personal information from any user, the requirements of the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations are addressed by the fact that no such information is gathered.
Because JustBB stores your content only on your device and we do not maintain user accounts or profiles, you have full control:
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have certain rights regarding personal data. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, we hold no personal data about you that could be accessed, corrected, exported, or deleted upon request. If you believe we hold information about you and wish to exercise these rights, please contact us (see section 11).

Crash diagnostics held by Firebase Crashlytics are retained according to Google’s retention policies (typically 90 days for full reports, longer for aggregated statistics). See https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through an app update. Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
